We’d love to see you! If you let us know when you’re coming, we can help you plan your visit.
Expanding the vision...
Our vision is to be a family, where people who grew up Jewish feel at home as well as people who did not grow up that way. We are about 30 percent Jewish in population and our liturgy incorporates a lot of the traditional service. We are not a one hour service, but try to balance Messianic and Jewish traditions. We want you to feel at home here and have a meal after the service so you can get to know us better. We look forward to your visit.
Questions and Answers
While there is no official dress code, most people choose business casual. Services are time dedicated to God, so it is always advisable to dress with some degree of modesty in mind. We have tallits and kippah if you wish.
Service starts at 10:30
How long does the service last?
A service is held at 10:30, including music, children's education, and the rabbi's weekly teaching. We had lunch around 1:00 p.m. m. and sometimes after classes we invite you to come.
Children offers engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade, teaching them to grow in their knowledge of Yeshua and have fun doing it. We have infant, preschool and primary classes..
Do I have to be Jewish to attend?
No, we are a diverse community, made up of families from many nations, tribes and languages (Revelation 7:9). We offer Spanish translations and many of the regular attendees come from a Christian church.
No! We use slides that show the words in Hebrew, English and Spanish. And the message is delivered in English but translated into Spanish for whoever needs it..
Judaism provides the foundation of the Christian faith. The Bible is a Jewish book. Jesus and all his disciples were Jews and lived, worshiped, and taught in Israel. They regularly attended temple and synagogue, both central elements of their practice. When Yeshua (Jesus) was resurrected, a new form of Judaism emerged: Messianic Judaism. It incorporates the familiar and beautiful elements of the faith and practice of the first community of disciples, that is, Judaism, with a central focus on Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah of the world.
First we are a community and yes, we are also a synagogue with a very special mission and purpose. At the council of Jerusalem, in the book of Acts, James, the brother of Jesus, says these words: "For Moses from ancient times has had those in every city who preach to him, since it is read in the synagogues every Sabbath." (Acts 15:21 NASB) In other words, Jews and Gentiles will learn together in the synagogue! You will undoubtedly experience the feeling of being in a synagogue. You will see Jewish items in the sanctuary, including Torah scrolls and the beautiful ark that houses them, prayer books, etc. Some members wear a kippah/yarmulke, a traditional head covering worn by Jewish men. We celebrate the biblical festivals throughout the year as described in Leviticus 23. So yes, we are happy to say that we are a messianic Jewish synagogue..
We are not a church. We do not practice Christianity in the traditional sense.
